Our Vermont Shelter Connections

I would like to take a moment to thank the shelters here in Vermont that have lent SAP Rescue a hand. They offer space, love and compassion to the pups from Virginia, and have placed hundreds of animals into loving homes all over New England.

Thank you also to Lisa Hanes of SOS Rescue for her help in getting our non-profit filed and in process.

Thank you to Lucy Mackenzie for offering lots of extra holding space as well as resources to us to make our trips, layovers and deliveries much more successful.

We would not be where we are now if we did not have the support of all of you. Our Vermont shelter connections are...

Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society in W.Windsor, VT
SOS Rescue in Huntington, VT
Springfield Humane Society in Springfield, VT
North Country Animal League in Morrisville, VT
Frontier Humane Society in Orleons, VT

WEBSITE UPDATES and a THANK YOU

First, a big thank you to everyone responding to our seasonal fundraising mailing. Every donation, no matter the size is greatly appreciated and will be put to work fulfilling the mission of our organization.

We've just added five Tales of New Beginnings, stories of adoption, we hope you enjoy them. If you've adopted from SAP and would like to share your story and photos, contact Sonja at saprescue@yahoo.com.

May your two and four footed family members have a safe and joyous holiday!

Welcome to our Blog

We currently have two young local cats available for adoption, perfect barn cats.

We are expecting several new young dogs to arrive in early December, details to come soon.

We're just getting started with our blog, so please stay tuned as we add stories about our placed animals, alert you to animals available for adoption and plan our upcoming fundraisers. 2008 is going to be a big year for us. We are working to raise money to build our own small facility. We'll be hosting dinners, a training seminar with Neil Sattin, an agility trial and much more.

We're grateful to all of our adoptive families, volunteers, foster homes and support staff, both in Vermont and Virginia, and wish you all the best for the coming holiday season.

For 4 years SAP Rescue has worked with wonderful folks in Virginia to save over 1800 young dogs and cats from euthansia. Our animals are placed mostly in Vermont, through local shelters and humane societies, and direct home placement.

If you are interested in adopting a pet, please consider a rescue. They will repay you every day for giving them a chance at a new life.
